Diaphragmatic tenting

Note a triangular shaped opacity on the right side with its base on the right hemi-diaphragm. The opacity runs superiorly and laterally. This is called diaphragmatic tenting. It is due to localised pulmonary fibrosis in that region. This condition is usually related to previous chest infection such as pneumonia or tuberculosis.
