How to get scapula out of the lung field?

In a good chest radiograph, all parts of the scapula should be outside the lung field. Otherwise, it may obscure some pathology.
Which one of this 2 photos showed the correct way of hand positioning?

A common way is to put the palmer aspect of the hand on the waist. A better way would be to place the dorsal aspect of hand on the waist and push the elbows forward. Try it and you will see that all parts of the scapula are outside the lung fields.
