In the right upper chest, there are curvi-linear shadows along the superior mediastinum. In the left apex, there are multiple calcified foci. Are these artifacts?
Yes & no. On the right side, they are hair shadows mimicking fibrotic changes. In the left apex, they are calcification from previous tuberculous infection.
Watch out for the hair again! In ladies (and men too), make sure the hair bun or pleat doesnt overlie the lung shadow.
