Wart mimicking pulmonary nodule

This gentleman came for routine medical check up. His CXR showed a 12mm rounded lesion at the right lower zone mimicking a solitary pulmonary nodule. On physical examination, there is a rounded wart on his right lower back. This wart causes an artifact on his CXR. Actually on closer look of his radiograph, there is a halo around the nodule (arrow heads). This halo is caused by trapped air between the wart and the skin. This halo is an important sign to differentiate a pulmonary nodule from an extraneous lesion.
