How to do x-ray of the elbow?
Projections are AP & lateral. For AP, the centering is perpendicular to a point 1 inch (2.5 cm) below the midpoint of the epicondyles. For lateral, the centering is perpendicular to the lateral epicondyle.
FFD is 100cm. Direct beam. No bucky.
Cassette size is 10x12". You may split the cassette so that both projections are in 1 film.
Dont forget to put side marker.
The exposure factors is about 52kV and 3.5mAs but this depends on the x-ray system.
