Ca lung with multiple distant metastases

42 year old man with lung cancer. PETCT showed metastases in the scapula, rib, thoracic vertebrae & liver.

Some pointers for lung cancer:

1.       Bone metastases can be assessed with PETCT whereby FDG PET provides more specific information than standard bone scans.
2.       Whole body PETCT detects unexpected distant metastases in about 10% of all lung cancer patients.
